Browser7 ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our web scraping service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and payment information (processed securely through Stripe).

Usage Data

We collect information about your use of our service, including API requests, request parameters (URLs, headers, settings), timestamps, and usage statistics.

Technical Data

We collect IP addresses, browser information, and device information for security and analytics purposes.

3. Render Responses

Default — Zero Storage

By default, Browser7 does not persistently store render responses. Responses are returned to you in real time and held in a temporary cache for up to one (1) hour solely to support immediate retry and delivery purposes, after which they are automatically and permanently deleted. We do not log, analyse, or retain the content of render responses beyond this window unless you have explicitly enabled Debug Mode.

Debug Mode — Optional Extended Storage

Where you choose to enable Debug Mode, render responses are additionally stored for up to seven (7) days and made accessible via your dashboard. Debug Mode is off by default and must be explicitly enabled by you. Render responses stored under Debug Mode are automatically and permanently deleted after seven (7) days. You may delete your debug history at any time via your dashboard.

Our Role

Where render responses contain personal data, Browser7 acts as a data processor on your behalf and you are the data controller. Full details of our respective obligations are set out in Schedule 1 — Data Processing Addendum of our Terms of Service. Render response content is never used for any purpose other than returning it to you and, where Debug Mode is enabled, making it available in your dashboard.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain our service
  • Process payments and billing
  • Monitor usage and prevent abuse
  • Improve our service and develop new features
  • Communicate with you about service updates and support
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Analyze usage patterns and optimize performance

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Service Providers: Stripe for payment processing, hosting providers for infrastructure
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety

6. Data Retention

We retain different categories of data for different periods:

  • Render responses (default): Up to 1 hour, then permanently deleted
  • Render responses (Debug Mode): Up to 7 days, then permanently deleted
  • Account information and usage logs: For as long as your account is active, and for up to 7 years after account closure for legal and tax purposes
  • Payment records: As required by Irish tax and accounting law (generally 7 years)

You can request deletion of your account data by contacting us at privacy@browser7.com. Note that we may be required to retain certain records for legal or regulatory purposes even after account closure.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure storage, access controls, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

You have the right to:
